Wheatgrass is grass from the common wheat plant. It can be prepared by the 1 oz shot. They say 3 oz is best. You are supposed to take shot then swish around in your mouth to get maximum affects. I personally can’t do that so just choose to drink it straight down, 2 oz. per day.
Wheatgrass contains chlorophyll, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes. Most juice bars these days carry Wheatgrass along with other types of juices. Usaually I will get 2 oz. of wheat grass then a green only vegetable drink. In the green vegetable drink there usually is broccoli, cucumber, parsley, cilantro, spinach and sometimes carrots. This done everyday has allowed my to stay healthy.
Over the years of drinking Wheatgrass and vegetable juice I have noticed not getting sick and if I do it usually clears real quick. Wheatgrass gives you that energy you want with out the crash. When you add in the vegetable juice with the Wheatgrass you can expect to get a gradual spike in energy and sustain that energy for several hours.
As the chlorophyll, the main component in Wheatgrass, molecule is structurally similar to hemoglobin, it helps blood flow, digestion and general detoxification of the body. These affects are felt rather quickly if you are not used to consuming Wheatgrass. It is a great way to fire up your digestion. Don’t be afraid the health benefits are worth it.
There are several great reason to drink Wheatgrass on a daily basis. The only cons that I can imagine for some people is the taste and cost. It can get expensive at avg. $1.25 per 1 oz. shot. Also, some people really have a hard time with the taste. It is not that bad and besides, it your health you are talking about.
